MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON

WEDNESDAY 02 JANUARY 2019 AT 7.30PM

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

There were no corrections so the minutes were taken as read, accepted and

signed by the Chairman.

MATTERS ARISING

Cllr. Harrison said that he had contacted Robin Maynard who is no longer able to

take on the work of refurbishment.

FINANCE

The precept for the 2019/20 financial year was discussed at some length and was

settled at £3000.00 a settlement proposed by Cllr. Somerwill and seconded by Cllr.

Platt.

Clerking expenses to cover the last four year period amounting to £125.00 were

Requested by Cllr. Harrison . Cl;lr. Brownlow proposed that this amount should be

paid, seconded by Cllr. Platt.

The question of re-joining the CPRE was discussed and approved and payment of the

£35.00 fee was proposed by Cllr..Brownlow and seconded by Cllr. Somerwill.

Cllr. Harrison relayed to the meeting a suggestion from Cllr. Scaife that a quantity

of winter road salt be purchased to fill the bins recently purchased by the PC. Cllr.

Somerwill proposed the purchase, secondede by Cllr. Brownlow, Cllr. Harrison was

tasked to organise the purchase. DH

A grant to T&DCTA was proposed by Cllr. Harrison. Payment of the ‘usual’ amount

of £75.00 was proposed by Cllr. Brownlow and seconded by Cllr. Platt.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

The matter of the purchase of picnic tables for Jones Orchard was raised, Cllr. Platt

stated that the prices which she had obtained were now out of date and that she would

get a new set of prices. JP

Cllr. Harrison was tasked with obtaining prices for refurbishing the seat on the ‘Green’DH

Cllr. Harrison was tasked with contacting DCC to get the fence mended along the

A 396 where it has been damaged by vehicles hitting it. DH

Cllr. Harrison was asked to chase prices for refurbishing the telephone box. DH

The question of obtaining some signage regarding the Defibrilator was discussed

and Cllr. Somertwill was tasked to make enquiries and obtain prices. AS

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 06 February 2019 at 7.30pm.

There being no other business the Chairman closed the meeting at 8.45pm.
