Summer Quiz '24 winners.

The entries are in and the answers marked and validated. The winners of the 'How well do you know Bickleigh village' summer quiz who become the 'Super Sleuths' of Bickleigh are ...........Teresa and family of Willow Grove. Very well done to them with a score of 30, missing out on just one correct answer about the church lych gate being locally known as the 'trim-tram' - the place where the funeral 'tram' rested and was 'trimmed' before entering the churchyard. Very close behind came Clive and Judith Williams of the 'Willows' with 28 and Steve and Mary Batt of the Old School with 27. Many thanks to all who took part. 

The winning prize of £10 will be awarded as part of the village harvest sports and tea on September 21st. With thanks to Bickleigh Parish Council for funding this community competition and to all the participants. Please remember for any future occasion that the peacocks at the Mill are called 'Indiana' and 'Jones' and certainly not 'Percy!'
