Have been in long discussion with EE regarding the lack of mobile phone service, ongoing now for several weeks. Have been advised to use the wi-fi service to receive and make mobile calls but these sometimes cut out and make a conversation difficult. A problem exists with the local transmitter but EE Engineers have not been able to get permission to access the site to carry out repair. This EE information I have now been informed by the landowner is not accurate. Access has not been refused, engineers have visited 3 or 4 times in recent weeks and have left with no noticeable improvement in service. I will take this up again with my Irish contact at EE and hope we can get some truth and positive action from the EE Company.
Update Wednesday February 28th 2018
EE rang yesterday confident the problem will be resolved in the next couple of days. The frost hardened ground will allow the work to be carried out.
