The Night Sky

Carole Boote of Lower Collishayes, Bickleigh, gave a fascinating talk about what to look for and identify in the night skies. She was speaking to members of the Exe Valley U3A group (University of the Third Age) at the January monthly meeting. We will all now be looking out for the Pleiades and other stars, constellations and space stations. Incidentally the Pleiades, known also as the Seven sisters, daughters of Atlas and Pleione in Greek mythology, are known as "Subaru" in Japan and the reason why 6 of the stars make up the Subaru logo.
