Bickleigh School - Mrs Scott

Many pupils and parents will remember Mrs Wyn Scott a former Headteacher of Bickleigh School. Her daughter, Lesley, recently offered the village some slides and photos belonging to her mother who died very soon after she left Bickleigh School. Lesley herself remembers attending Bickleigh 'old' school, with the road outside as the playground and having the freedom to visit the shop and bakery to buy a bun. Very different schooldays to present times!

We have managed to print the slides and hope to arrange a showing of them in the village. If as a pupil or parent you have memories of Mrs Scott we would be pleased to receive them. We have recently met with Mrs Scott's grandaughter who lives and works in Wellington and has named her dog 'Bickleigh.'
