John and Irene Hersant -A Celebration.

On Saturday February 3rd at 1pm family and friends of John and Irene came together in Bickleigh church to celebrate their lives. Tributes were made by their grandson, Andrew Lewis, John Greenslade on behalf of the Bickleigh Gardening Club of which John was founding Chairman in 1994, David Meredith on behalf of the Village Hall, a representative for Age Comcern, a poem read by Sally Taverner and a tribute sent by Joyce Ridd was read by Olive Taylor. The church was beautifully decorated with spring flowers and welcome refreshments were served afterwards in the village hall by local caterers "Saute and Spice." Donations were made to Hospiscare/ RNIB/Sheltebox/Devon Air Ambulance.
