Bickleigh Village Hall is situated in the beautiful Exe Valley and is only 15 minutes from the M5 and 1 minute from the A396. The hall was originally built in the late 1940's and has been extended and modernised over the years to provide the extensive, flexible and well maintained facility that stands today. Nearly £52,000 has been spent on the Hall since 2015, with £40,000 of this total resulting from successful grant applications to Viridor Credits. This funding allowed us to replace an ageing leaking roof and install a new commercial style kitchen. This large Village Hall is the perfect venue for your concert, play, wedding evening party, children’s party, social or club event.

Hall Details
- Seats up to 120 lecture style or 100 at tables. Smaller side areas can be used for small groups/meetings.
- Stage lighting is already installed and available for use.
- Network cabling is installed to enable a hired sound system to be used. (We are currently looking at a permanently installed sound system. Please ask for an update on this.)
- Permanent stage area (3.5m x 6.6m) with curtaining and point of access from rear. Stage can also be extended using on site additional flexible staging.
- Light interior with curtained windows.
- New in 2017, semi-commercial style kitchen with commercial sized electric oven & 6 plate hob, microwave, tall commercial fridge, plumbed in catering boiler, commercial spec dishwasher.
- Main hall is heated with 2 screened floor level gas heaters. Ladies toilet can be heated by a wall mounted electric fan heater.
- Crockery, cutlery & glassware for 100
- Disabled toilet and level access from car park.
- Car Park with space for approx 15 cars. Additional parking in public car park near Bickleigh Mill (5 minute walk)
- B&B accommodation available at The Trout Inn and The Fisherman’s Cott. Other providers are 10 minute drive away in and near Tiverton.

Directions to Hall: If you are attending a large event at the Village Hall, it may prove easier to park at the large Public Car Park near Bickleigh Mill (follow signs to Bickleigh Mill and then signs for the Public Car Park under the A396. This is a 5 minute walk away from the Village Hall. You may wish to bring torches!)
From Tiverton: Postcode EX16 8RD/Bickleigh Primary School. Take the A396 Exe Valley Road from Tiverton. Go over Bickleigh Bridge and take the third turning on the left signposted Village Centre. (The first two turnings take you to Bickleigh Mill. The one you need is pretty much straight ahead as the A396 bends sharply to the right) Continue up the hill and take first road on the right marked "Bell Meadow". You will see the Village Hall and Car Park on your left approx 20m down this road.
From Exeter: Postcode EX16 8RD/Bickleigh Primary School. Take the A396 Exe Valley Road from Exeter. Continue until you reach a sharp left hand bend in the road just before Bickleigh Bridge. You will see black and white hazard signs in front of you. Take the right hand turn on the bend (use caution!) and follow the signs for Village Centre. Continue up the hill and take first road on the right marked "Bell Meadow". You will see the Village Hall and Car Park on your left approx 20m down this road.
Village Hall and Car Park Hire Charges:
£10 per hour (Includes use of kitchen)
£8 per hour (Does not include use of kitchen eg Exercise classes)
£6 per hour (If 100% profit is being donated to a local charitable cause. We may need to see proof!)
