Titanic Night

A 3 ring bell and tannoy announcement by Harvey that RMS Titanic was about to set sail from Southampton Dock began the story of the maiden voyage told in readings by local people, photos on the big screen and short videos. Several characters on board appeared in appropriate dress. Flags, life buoy and ship's wheel added a maritime atmosphere. A welcome supper followed. A full house was well entertained and informed about the tragedy 110 years ago which continues to fascinate so many of us today.

A BIG thank you to all participants, helpers and the very responsive and appreciative audience. The evening raised £271 for village hall funds. Thanks to Clive Williams for the photo.
